The RS Quest has become established in Australia as a training, recreational and racing boat. There are nearly 200 boats sailing around the country from Tinaroo in far North Queensland down to St. Helens in Tasmania.
The RS Quest was designed in conjunction with the Naval Cadets in the U.K. and fills the need for a modern dinghy of this size which is big enough for an instructor and 2, 3 or 4 pupils. It is also perfect for Mum or Dad and youngsters and small enough to easily handle afloat and ashore. As a training vessel it can be configured with a traditional or asymmetric spinnaker allowing sailors to be taught both methods of spinnaker handling. The RS Quest has recently been adopted by the Australian Navy & the Australian Naval Cadets and boats are rolling in to their training centers around the country as part of a three year re-equipment plan. The RS Quest draws on 20 years of roto-moulding design and development experience that has produce a low maintenance, hard wearing and fully functional boat for training, racing and recreation.
