The RS Quest is quickly becoming established in Australia as a training, recreational and racing boat. Over twenty have been sold in the first twelve months with ten going to a large training establishment in Jervis Bay, NSW.
In Victoria the Quest has been adopted to replace the Australian 12 foot Cadet and will be used in the long standing Stonehaven Cup.
The RS Quest was designed in conjunction with the Naval Cadets in the U.K. and fills the need for a modern dinghy of this size which is big enough for an instructor and 2 or 3 pupils. It is also perfect for Mum or Dad and youngsters and small enough to easily handle afloat and ashore.
As a training vessel it can be configured with a traditional or asymmetric spinnaker allowing sailors to be taught both methods of spinnaker handling.
The RS Quest draws on 20 years of roto-moulding design and development experience that has produce a low maintenance, hard wearing and fully functional boat for training, racing and recreation..
